Mt. Rainier Vista Day Tour

Sit back and enjoy the scenery of Mt. Rainier!

Mt. Rainer National Park

As your Gray Line motorcoach approaches spectacular Mt. Rainier, you'll soon be overcome by a sense of wonder and excitement! At 14,411 feet, Mt. Rainier is the Northwest's tallest and most beautiful mountain. On this tour, you get the rare chance to see up-close an active volcano encased in over 35 square miles of glacial landscape. After your breathtaking journey high into the mountain, you can get out and tour the national park, explore an extravagant old hotel and visit the educational center.

Take a trip to paradise!

Mt. Rainier

On Mt. Rainier stands an extravagant old lodge called Paradise Inn. This hotel, rightfully named for its stunning views of the wilderness, was built in 1917 and has been declared a national historical site. You'll be impressed by the grand lobby, which contains two massive fireplaces, colorful decor, huge windows overlooking the park and enormous cedar logs that support the hotel's 50-foot ceiling. Hear the historical tale of the Paradise Inn and be sure to explore outside as well! A nice, long breath of the park's fresh air will serve you well!

Explore the visitor center and enjoy lunch on the mountain

Surrounded by old growth forests, wildflower meadows and glacial landscapes, Mt. Rainier National Park offers over 235,000 acres of preserved wilderness. One of the best places to take in the sights and sounds is the Henry M. Jackson Memorial Visitor Center. Here you can learn the secrets of Mt. Rainier and its native flora and fauna. Be sure to check out the Visitor Center's amazing photo collection!

Inside the Visitor Center lodge you'll find a quaint, fast-food style cafe with traditional grilled items. Here you can enjoy a quiet and relaxing lunch on your own at Mt. Rainier before rejoining the group for the trip back home, via a different route.
